I believe they are the ultimate “two wings of the same dead bird” / “two sides of the same coin” / Hegelian Dialectic / “Overton window” / etc etc
Like most all Hegelian Dialectics, they are indeed parasitically self-reinforcing, almost paradoxically so (the paradox is a mirage however, predicated mostly on emotional manipulation)
