The Washington Post... Wasn't that the newspaper crowing and cheering at how a historic statue was destroyed in secret?
They need displacing.
It's just part of the legacy media becoming aware that its business model of laundering government propaganda into the minds of Americans is dying. The real battle is online, which is why the Machine reacted so violently to Elon buying Twitter and pulling the curtain back a bit.

I believe WaPo is actually some sort of foil. Like controlled opposition for the (very much California-centric at this point) techno-1984 crowd. Some people see technology and think "wow I can live on a boat with no government", and some people see "wow I can make America into China."
