Maybe suicidal people like this should be killed so they can't infect the rest of the population with their malady. What good comes of allowing someone to do something like this? I see quite a bit of harm in tolerating this behavior because if it's seen to be allowed then it takes a step closer to being normalized.
I get your point, but in normalizing such an extreme response we open the door for that extreme response to be used on us. "Executing people for being stupid or infectiously awful" will be used far more on people who question the Regime than it will on improving us by removing cancer.
Like, it'll probably reach that point eventually in our devolution. But we shouldn't make it easier for them to start offing us in our own haste.

I don't believe such thinking always holds up against an opponent who will violate every standard and create any precedent to destroy you, but it's the kind of thinking a stable and rational civilization needs.
