It was an awesome moment when a elf king challenges the devil to a sword fight in actual Tolkien lore.

Tolkien lore is filled with enough awesome moments to fill any series for a lifetime.

Heck, even the Shadow of Morder series showed that you just need to actually use the setting and then you can make up pretty awesome moments that don't fit in lore, but people still enjoy.
