The "reaction time" argument is complete bullshit.
People are way less active nowadays, and muscle strength is correlated with faster reaction times. Also, people are significantly taller and shorter people tend to have faster reaction times.
It would be extremely bizarre for improved nutrition to lead to lower IQs.
The only reason the average IQ is dropping in the West is the mass importation of non-natives.
Plus when you got teachers telling kids math is racist then you'll have a ton of complete morons coming through the equity school system.
Maybe but it's also likely that what shiny thing they're looking at is determined by their IQ not the other way around. Like the kind of people skipping to the end of SmarterEveryDay or watching Let's Play Sodoku are a cut above Mr Beast.
