So the councilors in Waterloo voted unanimously to ban communication that "make people feel harassed". You can read about it here: https://tnc.news/2023/09/29/waterloo-harassed-bylaw-2/
My first thought was "what kind of degenerate would pass this" so I searched and found the list: https://www.waterloo.ca/en/government/city-council.aspx#Mayor-Dorothy-McCabe
Care to guess their identities? If you said "mostly white middle aged women" you won! (+2 beta cucks). Which brings me to the next point... if I have to pick one person or thing to blame for the fall of western civilization we'll it wouldn't be Trudeau, Biden, Schwab, etc... it'd be the fucking White leftists women hive mind that keeps supporting and pushing this nonsense. It's one thing when they keep voting for the liberal cucks (statistically that's their thing) but it gets worse when they get into positions of power like the councilors above. But technically, positions of power is all they seek except not in the obvious way.. They fill up HR which decides who gets hired or not, they control education and so mold the children's mind, they occupy communication/marketing jobs so they always have a megaphone for their bullshit...that's a lot of power over society so when you put it like this, it's no wonder that we are where we are.
Maybe I'm just speaking out of rage caused by this vote but as it stands now, I'm really starting to think imp was right all along.
I think I remember the sci-fi show Sliders having an episode which ever so briefly touched on this. At the very tail end of a jump the sliders are just about to open the portal to another reality and I think Quinn bumps into some random old lady, and apologises. Moments later a guy who identifies himself as a lawyer approaches Quinn and informs him by apologising he has just admitted fault in the encounter and will likely be sued as a result of that, to which Quinn smirks and tells the lawyer to have fun with the case before opening the portal and leaving.
Edit: Season 2 episode 12: Greatfellas.

And
I remember that show, but not that specific episode. I'll have to go and watch it again. It was a lot of fun, though. I'm glad it happened before all this crap took over.
The whole sequence was barely a couple of minutes long so even if it was part of a memorable episode it would very likely have been overshadowed by the rest since I think it was the cold open to an episode.
Edit: Found the episode in question, s02e12 but "Lawyer Earth/World" doesn't make up a significant part of the episode.
that's pretty much exactly how things work in china right now.
