That the anime and manga official english localizers are wokes that keep fucking up the translations. if you want to watch anime/manga try to get fan subs and also just pirate it.

Because simply put, the Japanese creators mostly don't give a shit about anything outside of Japan. These are not Japanese companies making these changes, they are licensing the rights to western companies who do it for them and the Japanese get a cut no matter what. They have no reason to give a shit about western fans because they already got their money. Now that soyny owns like 90% of the western anime market there might be a shift however because now the Japanese studios are going to start feeling the monetary hurt when soyny starts trying to low ball them on license fees and demanding changes in the actual anime content rather than just censoring the anime in the west.
Pretty much, you do get rare gems like Tomo-chan, FMA Brotherhood, Cowboy Bebop and Black Lagoon but those are the exceptions that prove the rule. They stand out in their perfection as diamonds because of the pile of shit they rest on.
Im not just talking about english dubbing. Im talking about the subtitles of the Japanese versions. The "official companies" that translate anime and manga do mess up the translations and the subtitles of the Japanese versions also
That can be an issue, I notice that they try it less in anime because weebs are learning Japanese more but in manga can be harder to know as reading Japanese is A LOT harder.
Any especially glaring examples you can think of? I'm not seeing much woke stuff in what I'm watching. But I also don't speak Japanese, so can't speak to the accuracy of the localizations, either. But there's almost never anything too jarring where it's obvious some wokoid was having their way.
In my experience its mostly been dubs so far. I don't see much of it in the subs.
I just learned Japanese for this and just order the good ones on cdjapan and other places.
