It's called 'idea laundering', just like Marvel Comics did with those cornball DIE clones of established characters, e.g. Riri, Miles, Asian Hulk (lol), 'Miss' Marvel, She-Hawkeye, etc. A decade later, the movie studio can point to this shitty book as a pretext for their latest - totally not political - movie adaptation and you better put up and shut up.
