I'm sure the people who voted for Brexit are mad about it being a mess. That doesn't mean they regret it.

Not long after the referendum, the medium - I'm going to experiment with not saying 'the media' for a while, since it's not a plurality, it's a singular thing - deluged the British public with nightmare scenarios and artificial trauma. They soon tried to insist that some huge percentage of Brexiters regretted their vote and that it was cause for a new referendum.
They had a chance to test out their theory in 2019. Corbyn was a not-so-secret pro-Brexiter but he was deluded and strong-armed by the Blairites and feminists around him to change his election tack, to one where he promised to 'revisit' the question of Brexit. Oh wow, what a shock, it was Labour's most crushing defeat in over 100 years. Cue Vox and the usual suspects jumping to write 'UK election results: Labour’s crushing defeat, explained', in any way that could possibly avoid treating that election as a second Brexit referendum.
Expect them to keep sabotaging the principle of Brexit and then pretending to themselves that any dissatisfaction with that outcome is vindication for them, until they get another chance to force people to vote the 'correct' way.
