Just a simple question. I heard that HBO has let GRRM go due to the strike and according to him, he has written 75% of the book. If I was his publisher I’d be so annoyed with him. Had he finished the series prior to the end of the show it would’ve made a ton of money. At this point I’d try to convince him to let someone else finish it.
Anyway what is a game that we will most likely never see? I’ve heard Half Life and I want to say Elder Scrolls 6 but they insist that will be out
Lies, just like how Patrick Rothfuss totally has his whole series written.
Or how Rowling totally had the story arc of Potter sketched out
I believe that one more than the others. Honestly, the stupid diversity shit she did like declaring Dumbledore gay didn't change the arc of the story, and her most retarded worldbuilding choices (time turners are so bad that they take the top five spots) were all made in the front end of the series. I'm willing to buy that she at least had an outline, and even if she didn't she mostly did okay.
Compared to some other people (GRRM, Rothfus, Bioware, to name a few), she did a much better job sticking the landing.
Considering the horrible shit quality of her new stuff I'm convinced she had a collaborator on HP who did the outlining at least, if not ghostwrote the whole thing.
George "Luke and Leia were always meant to be twins" Lucas.
Claimed he had finished it and entirely scrapped it, yea... Sure. He's busy being in podcasts and on conventions having people kiss his ass for being so virtuous and witting a great series which he didn't finish. I liked the first two books... And then nothing. I am done with it, there's other great authors out there that deserve their story in my head space more.
