If Trump ends up as the nominee, so be it. The primary electorate will get the nominee that it deserves. Trump 2024 will end up losing in the general and some people here still will make excuses for Trump and they will go on to support Trump 2028 or whatever year till the arrogant old man dies. Trump has not learned from his mistakes and his public standing has only worsened since 2020.

Independent voters will not feel any sympathy for him over the indictments while GOP voters generally do feel sympathy for him. People here get the two groups conflated.

In terms of DeSantis, if he loses the primary in 2024, I will be supporting someone new in 2028. I love DeSantis for what he has achieved in Florida but if he actually loses the primary to a buffoonish clown like Trump, I definitely cannot support him.

I personally prioritize winning above else not complaining that it was rigged or that they stole it.

I will say that this primary has made me realize that I really do hate the MAGA movement and I will enjoy watching it die in 2024. I align very well with all of the policy of MAGA but I realize the main figures are insufferable.
