Almost every male nurse I've met has been Gay
You mean to tell me that stereotypes have a basis in reality? I'm shocked I tell! Shocked!
Not here. Lots of guys willing to do it for the money they pay now. not as many as women. But still it's not all hags and fags. Married and single straight men do it too. You make less than in the trades, but you don't bust your body, and a lot of em work 36 hours a week. A lot of 'em work 12 hour shifts, so they can pick up some number of those. Some people work way more. At a relatively high hourly rate, so depends on how much you want.
I assume you're in USA? In Australia Straight Guys mainly end up in trades - but those that do enter 'care' actually end up as NDIS carers rather than Nurses. that's not to say there isn't any, but just from my anecdotal evidence (and I have spent a LOT of time in hospitals) guys that end up in hospitals as nurses would be 85% gay.
Yeah, USA. There has been a nurse shortage, like, forever, at least supposedly. During the pandemic, hospitals were hiring nurses from other cities, paying them to temporarily relocate, and working them for like a year. And obviously they have to make this deal good enough for people to want to do it.
$80/hr US for a nurse with special training would not be unreasonable. it's probably more for a lot of them.
