I love the show but considering the time we live in I have very low expectations. I’ll give it a chance though.

I was still a teenager when it first came out so my opinion is probably a bit biased, but it's one of my favorite shows of all time. Maybe even my favorite.
I'm sure if I went back and rewatched it all I'd find plenty of moments embarrassingly dated, but it has so many great moments I don't think even removing my nostalgia glasses can hurt it too much.
Definitely rewatch the one where they go to the Amazonian planet
I was really impressed by the first few episodes. The first few story-arcs had a good direction that really worked well with the world buildging.
After that I enjoyed several episodes but quality dropped with disjuncted plot. It still had very good punch comedic moments though.
The damn pet dog arc made me cry like a baby.
Stopped watching it a while ago when I moved without a TV and never bothered to check streaming for Futurama.
There's barely any world building to speak of after the first few episodes, save for a fairly cool moment much later on. You just have to treat it like any other animated sitcom where the status quo is God and the point is simply to be funny.
