I’d love to see a CEO that says “who cares” when he is told that his company isn’t diverse enough. Also don’t you love how meritocracy is fine for sports but they twist themselves into knots explaining why that can’t work in the real world
Evolution stopped at the neck. Hell, you can see this at play in sports given the demographic divide between players and coaches. The NFL is 70% black because merit, but coaching is 70% white (or whatever) because racism.
It’s never enough. One thing that was brought up was that a team owner is probably even more hesitant to hire a black coach because they know they are stuck with them even if they end up being lousy. Also I’m curious how many of the black players want to get into coaching. They make it seem like they all do but I doubt it
