Growing up when I had civics classes there was a frequent quote.... "I may hate what you are saying, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it" and I was taught that it is most important to defend the most vile speech because it is easy to defend what you agree with.

I think they deliberately avoid teaching these things in schools today. If we successfully outlawed CRT and every other woke commie ideology from the schools, the teachers would probably talk about movies and pop culture all day. Anything to prevent kids from learning about the actual structure and culture of our country.

The teacher of that class had us read 1984 and Animal Farm as well.

I literally haven't heard that in many years. Which is incredibly sad. It totally fell by the wayside, and fell out of common use.
