We got the idea that Alfredic was cowering somewhere in a corner, being surrounded by absolutely awful people, having to pretend that he's one of them, and using one of the bathroom breaks they allowed him to send messages of "HELP ME".
I thought he's a infiltrator we have behind enemy lines to tell us if their meme game improves.
NARRATOR: Their meme game did not improve.
Feels like that. I've had very good friends go suddenly left, and accuse me of stuff so I learned to keep quiet fairly well. If I post anything righty on social media, I get 12 comments about how wrong I am.
Alright but since you're on the inside, I'm giving you two code phases:
Disney is based: means they've gone off the deep end and you need extraction
Kardashians are smart: means you need eye bleach because you've seen some shit thanks to the lefties you know.
I will keep that in mind. The original Disney was based and took on the mob many a time.
I think women watch the Kardashians the same way fans watch professional wrestling.
"We're just trying to help you."
That's my favorite.
The threat underneath that is so sinister
TBH I feel like that sometimes. Though I don't think I do a very good job of hiding the fact I'm not on their team.
Sometimes I think the reason why people who live in places like Seattle or Portland long enough lose their grasp on reality is a variant of Stockholm Syndrome. Except your "captors" are a deranged ideology instead of deranged people.
There is a truth to that. You also find that things change when you get out of the bubbles. Portland might have a crazy city, but the Milwaukee area has a great gun store. Seattle sucks, but Tukwila can be tremendous. You can tell where you are based on how colorful it is. That's not a poetic statement, if it's gray it is local, if it has bright colors it's California infestation.
Believe me: I'm far enough from it that it keeps me sane, but close enough to it I see the damage it does to people in it.
Some people I've known for 20+ years, I see how it's changed them. If I could go back and tell them the things they would come to believe or do to themselves, I'm not sure they'd believe it.
I've had some depressing moments. At one point in Uni all of my friends went full stack lefty and would not get out. I went with a friend to a party that turned out to be an anti G8 protest. Covid insanity and riots. I knew how to get away and stay safe. Being a nerd means you grow accustomed to standing out, so learned to accept it.
