From one faceless forum user to another, I am glad you are alright, or at least not physically harmed. If you are not planning an exit strategy already from the greater Portland area, I would recommend at least thinking on it.

It is hard to shoot a target, let alone a moving human, but considering the volume of rounds, you think they would at least hit someone.
Unless it is more of a "look how strong we are, be afraid" performance, like two primitive tribes screaming insults and throwing rocks at each other from opposite sides of a river, both groups knowing that the chances of actual bloodshed are slim as they are relatively safe but feeling compelled to make an effort anyway.

Wasn't it Rhodesia where captured weapons were found with the sights dialed all the way up because they thought it made the gun shoot harder?
