The first arc of the game really hammers home "slavery bad" which you'd think the left would like, but also the love interests in the game are sexy instead of being disfigured and fat. So, based but bluepilled with very standard Devil May Cry real time action combat. (FF15 and FF7R also feature real time action combat.)
I don't own a PS5 and it's Playstation exclusive and never coming to PC but even if I could buy it, this genre isn't my kind of game. But early reviews are reacting positively so far, very probable game of the year.

Who the fuck thought putting real time action combat in a FF game was a good idea?
Probably because the Witcher 3 sold a shitzillion copies.
It plays better than that game, for what it's worth, but I still feel like a real FF game should be party based.
Given how smooth and dynamic the Witcher 3 was for me, that's pretty high praise.
...not enough for me to buy a console or whatever, but, eh. Fucking console exclusives.
Ff7 remake is both party based and rta...?
I wasn't one of those sales. ATB is about as "real-time" as I will tolerate in RPGs.
The head of Square in Japan is literally Mr. Krabs
It will end up on PC eventually, just might take a couple years.
