I've thought about this a lot. The competence crisis is just starting. I worked in public education until recently. The typical high schooler knows how to do absolutely nothing. They are functionally illiterate and innumerate. The only thing they can do is consume media. And they do it all day, every day.
In my brief time teaching I saw there were a few bright ones but they were endlessly hampered by the vast majority of "students" I had. And this was one of the better school districts in my state.
The bright ones are more likely to be captured by neo-Marxist mind poison while in college.
Then even if they escape the mind virus, they'll be competing against and working with diversity hires in the work force.
It seems like the ones coming up are just weaker every year. No offense.
Yup, just wait until all the competent and older people retire and/or die off. Pretty soon you'll be left with mostly diversity hires and people who only know how to count hormone pils.
Sad but true.
My organization just hired on a "very bright, very motivated" 18 year old. Can't operate a copier, a credit card reader is beyond them, and they routinely forget things that they have been taught.
