Too true. The first one was shallow as hell and entirely forgettable. The second was a total farce. It was literally impossible to lose in Fable 2. I never bothered with any of those games after 2.
One may have had some novelty being on the Xbox and your choices changing how your character looked and dying gave you scars etc…. But you need more than that in the sequels
I had a lot of fun with 2. Not every game needs to be dark souls
I’ve always had a PlayStation and once I learned that Starfield and ES6 would be Microsoft exclusive I decided to get Microsoft game pass and steam on my gaming laptop and played the first Fable for the first time. So I’m kinda behind

I had a feeling it was gonna be woke AF from the moment it was announced. Can't have a British medieval game without diversity everywhere.

It'll have a character creator, that'll be shit and you will only be able to make characters that look like that.

Why? OG Fable was overhyped and undercooked; it was vastly disappointing.
I gave the sequel a chance, but it wasn't any better. I gave up on the series after that. I can't imagine a world in which Fable games are actually worth bothering with.
It’s incredible the way Peter Molyneux was able to convince Microsoft to fund not just the first game, but the second and third after how disappointing the preceding games were.
I guess when I first heard of it years back my mind imagined a much better game. The concept sounded cool
Oh yeah, that much is true. Molyneux was a masterclass snake oil salesman.
From the way the game was described it was supposed to be a miracle RPG for the ages handed down from heaven by the hand of god. If only.
