"Look at how our allies saved our men at the critical moment, only for the government and military to cast them aside for pr"
The US has a terrible track record of assisting non European allies after an intervention that most occasions it would've been better they never went there in the first place. Just look at Libya, slavery CAME BACK to that country thanks to NATO intervention.
The general gist is that those Afghani 'servicemen' deserve more. But what is more? The answer is a fast-tracked immigration platform for Afghani servicemen to Western countries.
Nah, more would be for the government not to have abandoned them when they did and ruin everything we helped then build to win some PR with the lunatic left.
It was. The US was still providing the bulk of the air support and was still in the process of training people. Hell, the Afghani army wasn't even told what time we would be leaving. You remember how much equipment we just abandoned? Let's not pretend this withdrawal was done properly at all.
The Afghani army turned out to be a joke because of weak leadership, lackluster morale, rampant malfeasance, poor logistics and corruption. Government officials also inflated the total number of soldiers.
Biden's role was, of course, a disaster, but the Afghani had been unreliable 'allies' from the very beginning of Bush' foolhardy incursion.
They're not our allies. We wasted years, lives and dollars handing the country to them on a silver platter, and they dropped it five minutes after we left.
Actually there was a plan in place under Trump, Biden abandon it for the new PR date of 'leaving Afghanistan on 9/11' and took all troops and logistical staff out MONTHS before that deadline without telling the Afghan army or civilian assets.
There was a video after they did this of Afghan commandos fighting Taliban until they ran out of ammo completely and forced a surrender after which they were all beheaded.
Biden gave Afghanistan to the Taliban on a silver platter the moment he ditched the agreed Trump deal, he screwed everyone but the Taliban hard.
Actually I interpret this another way:

I agree. OPs take seems hyperbolic.
Remember when we bombed Germany to support a proxy war we were funding with a non-aligned state.
yyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Also worth pointing out this trailer was less diverse than average.
I've seen much more offensive trailers, both narratively and as far as diversity.

Yep, but the Afghani army also just put their weapons down and ran.
Wouldn't you if your entire air force just fucking left without finishing training you?
Was that really the case? I don't think so.

it's gross they were fighting so they can send their family here

Agree with you but still liked the movie.
