Black flag was not that good of a game, the pirates aspect accidentally made it fun in spite of being an Assassin's Creed game. The awful collectathon-vomit approach to open world made me never want to touch another asscreed, much less having to use ubisoft login nonsense. Will be hilarious to see how bad Skull & Bones turns out.
I agree, they still fucked up the multiplayer I loved from Brotherhood and Revelations, the protagonist was better than the 3rd one but nothing comes close to Ezio Auditore da Firenze and the ship was great but the collections was ridiculous.
It was just a good jump off point for me with that franchise, same with BF1, Mass Effect 3 and many other franchises.
