I used to spend summers with my grandparents and my grandfather looked so sad when he saw that ignorant ghetto behavior. He also couldn’t understand why a healthy man would avoid working and taking care of his family. He died at age 93. Guess I’m glad he isn’t around to see it even worse
I was born into an older family, too. My father and grandfathers all made sure to make it clear that skin color didn't define a man's status, how he behaved did.
I am currently working at the branch of my agency that is located in the ghetto. Today, I will hear all the Ebonics.
I have also witnessed a man slap his nephew for making the A honor roll. Fun times.
