There was a post during the George Floyd BS by a cop, detailing exactly what was wrong with policing today and why no one who a) cared about doing the job or b) had any self-respect would still be working as a cop within five years.
It's almost certain that this precinct is being run by some diversity-hired, aspiring politician using the position to further their ideological goals, rather than proper objective police.
The fish rots from the head. If ideologues are placed in power and encouraged to remake the organization in their image, people who oppose them will either be culled or leave and true believers will be brought in to replace them.
