I'd call it a doomsday cult not a religion

Why? Because a religion at it's roots at least focuses on longevity and natural expansion through generations.

The pride shit is the antithesis to this..

Agreed. Religions have great truths and advanced social technology that keeps a people surviving. A cult is a like a disease that kills the host, a dead end.
