I do believe people have been trying to palm off Orwell’s criticisms of Communism (or, well, leftism more broadly, given the whole Spanish Civil War thing) since at least his death, if not longer…

Hence why Oceania is only “allowed” to be seen as fascist, not Communist… 🤷🏻‍♂️
