I wouldn't necessarily agree with it, but it's definitely not a meltdown. It isnt hard to understand the logic. Just about anyone with an above room temperature IQ knows that Biden is an establishment stooge. Whereas DeSantis has fooled a ton of people into thinking he's not Bush lite.
If DeSantis, who banned grooming in schools, smashed Disney, banned vaccine and mask mandates, opposed regime change in Syria, is "Bush lite", then I guess this Bush is an amazingly good fellow.
Yes, he has skeletons in his closet. And it may well be that he will revert to his own neocon self once he is in office. There is no way of knowing, which is why I prefer Trump (even though he was practically useless on neoconism beyond starting no new wars). But he's doing and saying everything (mostly) right at the moment.
If you openly say that you support a proven establishment stooge over someone who may not be completely perfect, then yes, I count that as a meltdown.

Extremely naive. These are all good things, but as the pieces come together it's getting clearer and clearer that these are very calculated moves to try and take the party back for the establishment. Would love nothing more than to be wrong, and even just a few months ago I still had some optimism remaining, but even just seeing who comes out of the woodwork to back him should be enough to make people extremely wary.
I agree that he's obviously better than Biden though, but there is a very real danger of dissipating the populist sentiment that has built up over the past decade if enough people think they've "won" if DeSantis wins. He won't though so it's a moot point unless orange man has a stroke or the CIA nails him JFK style. That being said, I don't blame Baris for being extremely bitter when they made it very personal for him.

Maybe, but like I said, I'm with Trump. I just don't think that Desantis is as bad as people make him out to be, let alone bad enough to justify not supporting him or voting for a senile imbecile.

Eh, Trump has his backers as well. Lindsey Graham being one. He probably doesn't agree with Trump on foreign policy, so I guess he wants to support Trump to retain his influence with Trump to make sure he does absolutely nothing contrary to what neocons want.

But the same is true if Trump wins, not?
This is more an argument against cult-like following of an idiot politician than against DeSantis.
In fact, DeSantis may be better, because he has to earn their support rather than take it for granted like Trump.

There's never any justification to put private grievance ahead of the public good.
