You should buy candles. Energy prices might get high enough that warming specific rooms with blankets for insulation, and candles for heat will make it relatively amenable. Putting one of those thick blankets over a window keeps lots of heat in. I found that for a small room, one of those 3 wicked candles works okay.
Just don't burn your house down.
If you are just heating it while you are in it, you might be able to keep high quality candles going for a week. So the room might need 10-12 sets of candles.
