They have been a number of periods in history with relatively free societies that were stable for a while but it is impossible when "we" (well not most of us here) constantly promote globalism and shame nationalism
Then its just as short term as you were against. Even communism can be stable and wonderful for short term periods.
I would argue no complex system is permanently stable
