Your comment about Marco Rubio is asinine. Look at past governor races. DeSantis's size of win is rarely seen in the state of Florida. Charlie Crist and Rick Scott never got close to that type of win.
The average independent voter sadly prefers accepting the destructive policies of Biden when faced with Trump as the alternative who they view as intolerable and unacceptable.
These voters hate Stop the Steal, they hate what happened on J6 and they blame Trump for it. They already hated Trump's personality before. Trump's standing with independents has only worsened since 2020.
This is a sad fact but it is a fact.
Go look at how every Trump endorsed MAGA candidate in GA, PA, WI and AZ all lost in 2022 even with insanely high inflation.
The 2022 election was expected to be a red wave since we expected it to be a referendum on Biden. It ended up being not a referendum on Biden because Trump unfortunately entered the equation by pushing certain candidates who spent time in the general election constantly yelling Trump won 2020 and sucking Trump off. Lake and Mastriano were the prime examples of this.
Trump has no path to victory over Biden because the average independent voter in America personally despises Trump for a multitude of reasons. These people could even be starving personally and they would still prefer Biden over Trump.
The Dems bought ads for Mastriano in the primaries and that was enough for him to win the primary overwhelmingly.
They didn't need to prop him up with fake polls.
Consider how the Dems gave Trump a CNN townhall just last week.
The Dems obviously understand how to manipulate the GOP base into nominating the weakest candidate running from a electability standpoint.
But you were citing this as proof that polls are unreliable.
Nominating Mastriano was stupid. Same for Oz. I knew that at the time. But I'm pretty sure polls showed that as well.
You have no idea who is the most 'electable' candidate. You just say it because you are angry at Trump for no reason.
Trump is objectively weaker on electability compared to RDS.
The country has already made its mind up on Trump one way or the other.
No one who voted for Biden in 2020 will switch to Trump in 2024.
He has no pathway to winning 2024.
Trump's reputation is baked in.
Trump has also accrued more baggage since 2020 with Stop the Steal and J6.
He can't improve from his 2020 performance.
He cannot win.
How? He beat Marco Rubio, who equaled RDS's performance.
That is just a slogan with no empircal backing one way or the other.
No? The right keeps telling me that Biden is a disaster. If he is, many will.
No one cares, and you know that full well, having been one of the people saying that Pence should invalidate the 'steal'.
