Was catching him on MSNBC at the gym where he was “explaining” his reasoning for the veto and spouted that little gem, which is in direct violation of the 10th amendment and the whole reason it’s even in the Constitution.

I don't know what North Carolina's gun laws are like but maybe they should be loosened to match the least restrictive state. I mean that is what he just implied.
They have been trying to loosen them. They just repealed the Jim Crow era law requiring permits to purchase pistols. And there is progress on them passing constitutional carry.
I have never understood how NCs governor got elected 2 times both of which were during elections where Trump won the state. Who was out there saying they liked Trump and also Roy cooper?
libshit carpetbaggers from the north
There WAS progress being made on constitutional carry, but the republicans got cold feet and now it's on hold: https://myfox8.com/news/north-carolina/north-carolinas-no-permit-concealed-carry-bill-dropped-before-vote-in-nc-hous/
NC unfortunately is a purple state now, imo. We have way too many people from the northeast and west here. Around the Raleigh and Charlotte areas there are communities and towns that are 90+% out-of-staters.
I hope he’s referring to the fact that certain rural areas are like 1-2 hours away from places that do abortions and not protesting the whole states’ rights thing, but who knows.
Doesn’t matter in any context, abortion is not a constitutional right, even if you it under the guise of “privacy”.
If only we didn't have entire states where a single zipcode (or a clustered handful under the same name) determined the laws, politics, and even "rights" of the entire rest of the counties.
I'm sure that's not what he meant at all of course.
Now do gun control.
When an office holder says anything that directly contravenes the law/constitution he should be held in contempt by a meeting of a citizen's constitutional court where the appropriate punishment is quickly imposed.
