Everything she said can be applied to shounen male MC:

• All of them are cut from the same cloth, usually a highschool unlikable kid who gets bullied until he gets a mcguffin and gains protagonist powers.
• All subservient to their mentors (nude even being a punchline in a beach episode).
• Even when they display competency they must be quickly foiled by defeat at the hands of a powerful new arc villain.
• The sexualization (by shipping fujoshits) and objectification of their appearance plays into their role as action figure.

This isn't frowned upon by people who can tell fiction from reality.
