I can't blame the Japanese and others looking at AI voice acting a lot harder as an alternative, at least for anything in the English language.
The only time I really hear something bad with Japanese VAs is they cheated, sexual crimes, mental breaks, health issues etc rather than they are demanding a black girl voice the tanned gyaru.
I think he's letting absolute hatred for a person seep into his judgment for talent. She's good at acting, but goddamn, she's fucking crazy and evil. Does she even get new roles anymore? The last "new"-ish thing I've heard her in was one of the PSO2NGS operator girls (who barely has any lines at all).
Never played any BlazBlue game, really. That's because I'm terrible at fighting games, and have been for over 30 years.
And besides, how much of this is due to the director?
There used to be a dub director named Steven Foster who would get awful performances out of his actors, because he simply did not care about his job, at all--and that made the actors stop trying, too. He's been blacklisted from the business for this reason...yet people will still sing his praises, because he was the guy who directed the dub of Ghost Stories.
If you want to see how bad a Steven Foster dub can really get, check out Penguindrum, Medaka Box, and Guin Saga.
If you want a GREAT dub director, you go to one man: Alex von David. He did Madoka Magica and Kill la Kill, among many others. John Swasey is also a very good choice.

Yeah, it's sad there's not a lot of the godly dubs like that of FMA Brotherhood, Black Lagoon or even the full on taking the piss of Ghost stories
The closest we got recently was the VA for Carol from Tomo-chan and that's godly because she did Japanese AND English dub for the character.
