I remember reading in the 1990s that the Aztlan movement organizers frequently made reference to anti-Semitic ideas along with their other plans for reconquista of much of the southwest United States.

Evidently the Aztec angle has always been a popular aspect of that nationalist movement; understandably, since absent the disease element, the Spanish conquest of the Americas might have gone more like Vietnam did for us (or so my amateur study of history suggests.)

I think it's weird that they identify so much with the Aztec part. I guess that's what makes 'em unique cuz a lot of peoples have Spanish background.

The Aztecs were done in in the years between landfall and actual contact AFAIK. The disease front spread faster than actual European colonization.
