Do they get laid after? I find it hard to believe. This is my theory:

I assume many of them, sadly have a not so great life, no girlfriend, overweight, few to no friends, I doubt they have some great job prospects. What is worse is that it all falls on their choice but what if you tell them it is because they are trans? Suddenly all the failures in life are no longer their fault, they can continue with their lives as is and they are protected and even celebrated in some circles.
At that point they already hate their body, hate their lives, society for not making easier for them and do not fit in to the standard male archetype, is not a great leap to being trans. Hence why so many are low effort trans.
