At this point everyone here knows my preferred solution to the troon problem, but if we're too squeamish to implement it we need to be willing to discuss institutionalization or imprisonment to keep them from harming normal people.

Dunno, both the "trans" people I've known in real life were very calm and simply the victim of specific women's mechinations.
I don't think they represent all of them but I knew at least 1 wouldn't go through with the genital mutilation, went back to being a guy once he was away from the woman's influence.
