See, the people I know who are or were part of the Uniting Church: rich, privately educated, children of doctors and lawyers (or in that mould themselves, now), well-heeled and travelled…
So I honestly think that is what they are doing: going for “niche, wealthy” individuals, and basically fuck everyone else…

I couldn't find that glorious thread I read once from a doctor who flew around bush country for years and shared several stories that explained his gradual descent into full-blown anti-abbo hatred, but in the search I found plenty of funny/depressing screencaps about abbos still in the archives and r/greentext.
