I'd probably have preferred a different type of weapon system that isn't going to happen. That and some improvements to the cooking interface and I'd be happy. I enjoyed the first one enough. Although I guess I should beat it at some point haha
Meh. Botw was pretty fun but there was a lot of stuff I hated about it, the weapon system sucked, the combat was pretty shallow, the shrines were a grind, all the dungeons looked the same, etc.
Fuck I just want an actual Zelda game again, with dungeons and gadgets and kickass boss fights and stuff. Is that too much to ask?
I think BOTW is a good concept game, I think the open world is a step in the right direction and I like the idea of survival elements, however the content is just mediocre. I'd rather have eight or ten fleshed out dungeons than a hundred shrines that all look the same and don't offer much variety for puzzles. The boss fights also sucked, I miss the more epic fights like Twinrova, Molgera, Stallord, and Koloktos, instead we get blight Ganons which all look similar and have a really brainless fighting pattern.
This new game is just looking like more of the same.
they are doubling down on the open world sandbox, which means we can again expect little in the way of story, quests, or proper dungeons and boss fights.
"The world isn't the same, there has been changes! What changes? Too many to list that we won't name a single one! Spend $70 to find out!"
No thanks.
lol the world looks identical near the end of the video when Link returns to the surface. This is literally BOTW 1.5
It took them about 6 years of development to create BOTW 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Outfuckingstanding.
Even Mario Galaxy 2 at least had a new hub area and all new levels, this just feels like it could have easily been $20 DLC
It's literally just more BotW. And I'm gonna go against the grain and say HELL YEAH BROTHER, MORE BOTW
Call me a fanboy all you want, BotW is one of my all time favorites and I'm psyched for more.

Will look excellent on the Steamdeck
You're likely to catch shit from Nintoddlers, but the Steam Deck pretty much the best way to play Switch games.
This. I've had a good time with The Deck than any major game release in years

pass.
Really? A fucking OLED lite? With irreplaceable controllers? Where failure is not "if" but "when"?
Cool, so what happens when Nintendo just... stops?
Actual link to the video because who the fuck wants to read all that?

Not really impressed, this just looks like it could have been DLC instead which it ironically was supposed to be.
I just wanted a bigger Zelda game with cool dungeons and epic boss fights, I could care less about crafting stuff as I loathe that mechanic now.
