Whenever I see this kind of shit, I can't help but think about the prehistory of Starship Troopers. That's more about crime and the handling thereof, but the core point is just that everyone got really fucking 'woke' about things, and society completely fell apart. So much so that it was basically a dark ages, and a vague point in history. I love the absolute skewering of psychologists and the handling of juveniles, too.
Found the quote:
I feel like we're there, on so many issues. We're teetering on the brink of our own dark ages here, and people will look back and laugh, and laugh, and think the stories are exaggerated.
I found the book incredibly boring and uninteresting. I wasn’t sure why there was controversy
Then I got deeper about how there used to be roving gangs of teenagers and harsh discipline fixed it. And other moral issues of the previous society. That’s when it clicked why leftists hate it so much
It is funny, I do think the prehistory is the most interesting part. And I don't even agree with one hundred percent of it. I think accountability and consequences are very important, but the perspective presented in the book has its own issues...although certainly better than letting criminals run roughshod over society.
Leftists just hate the idea of being held accountable, or anyone disagreeing with them.
Starship troopers is leftwing and is making fun of people like the ones shown in your quote.
Open a book instead of just watching the movie for once in your accursed life, you illiterate pavement ape.
How do you figure?
