I hate when these people lump in social security with the rest of this nonsense. It's a system you're forced to pay into, the least the government can do is pay out as promised. I'm all for cutting spending, and ideally I don't even want SS at all, but you have to pay out for the people you forced to pay in.
If they want to modify SS...stop stealing our money for our entire lives first, then we can talk. Let us invest our own money, it would probably do better than their nonsense anyway. Do away with it entirely, but pay your obligations, government.
They're the government. They can simply add more numbers to the database any time the numbers for Social Security don't add up. It's not like they have to provide any kind of tangible value whatsoever for it.

The future taxpayers are children who cannot consent to the theft scheme. There is nothing in the kitty, it has long since been raided. All their promises are just promises to steal from the young. Their 'obligations' are nothing but a promise to steal for you.
It's not fair on you, but it's even less fair for you to advocate that those who cannot defend themselves, the future generations, be forced to pay (inefficiently) to the gov to pay you that which you know the government does not have.
If they amend the constitution to ban social security and medicare forever, I would gladly accept an immediate end to contributions and a reduced payout when I retire.
