My last account as banned for telling a 'they/them' "your identity isn't valid". That comment got removed by the mods, then got super removed from the admins so it wouldn't even show up in my profile, I got a temp suspension, then a permanent suspension. All within an hour.
they didn't just ban my account, they went to all accounts that were associated with all IPs i'd been on in some recent period. but because i'd been on the apartment building wifi for the pool area, and the pool wifi covers easily 60%+ of the units in the building (so tons of people use it), they hit a ton of accounts. there was a big discussion about it on our apartment forum. tons of people got banned.
