Yea, I used to try to explain this to people but fractional reserve banking causes eyes to glaze over sadly.
It's not even that complicated of a subject. Unfortunately, a lot of people are incapable and unwilling to learn new things if it's not reinforced through school, TV, movies, and the news. They either get this glazed look on their face, as you said, or look at you like you're insane.
It's why the NPC phenomenon seems so prevalent. I refuse to believe that humans naturally have that large of a percentage population susceptible to NPC behavior. In harsh environments, they would all die and drag down their respective tribes. This is why I suspect it's caused by environmental factors (i.e. intentional poisons in the environment, and years of brainwashing propaganda), used by those in power to control the populace.
I'm on the other side, the more I observe people the more I believe that the average person is easily manipulated. Time and time again it's been shown whether in history or today how a small(er) group ahead of the curve was able to dictate millions for whatever purposes.
There's 2 sides to propaganda, 1 side is making it the other side is consuming it, and always the one making it is much smaller and very well coordinated. The certain demographic you seem to have mentioned earlier, as much as I rule16 them, has always been very good at playing this game.
There's a difference between NPC behavior, and people that have been brainwashed and don't easily entertain alternative theories and arguments, even though in many ways, it's effectively the same.
One of the reasons why people are less likely to entertain alternative arguments is that their lives are easy, and they have no reason to doubt the things they've been taught. However, that's one of the reasons why more people are getting red pilled, because the world is deteriorating into insanity, society is quickly headed toward collapse, and it's accelerating. It's becoming harder to ignore reality, and to accept the propaganda at face value. When people's lives are directly impacted by the sheer amount of lies causing deleterious effects, making their lives harder, they become more open to alternative arguments, even if they initially refused them. That's why telling the truth, even in the face of harsh backlash, is so vital, because it gives people just beginning wake up, realizing that the lies no longer make sense, an actual choice.
Furthermore, this is why the globalists control both sides of the political spectrum. Anyone that does get red pilled can be caught in false right wing traps, like the Republican party, and even news outlets like Fox, the Daily Wire, and PragerU, which prevent people from moving further right. There are quotes from globalists that admit this is true, where they enable rigorous debate between two parties, of allowable opinion and discourse, both of which they control.
You just proved my point for yourself, just because someone becomes ''red pilled'' doesn't mean he's not manipulatable. It's been like that since recorded history, a smaller group within a society leading said society, most people need some kind of leadership and guidance in life while very few are capable of being leaders proportionally.
Propaganda itself isn't necessarily a bad thing if it's for the right purpose, however, as history has shown, the best way to undo decades of delving into degeneracy and insanity as a society is not by trying to fix the already lost causes, but by raising a new, strong generation. The Chinese are aware of this, and so are the globalists, it's why they're so fixated on school curriculums, why they want your kids to go to drag shows, learn about sexual deviants as something completely natural and normal, learn revisioned history etc. because these ideas are much harder to instill into someone who's already mature and has his own formed views and values, but keep teaching a child since 7 years old that dressing up as a woman and mutilating your genitalia is normal and the child will eventually be a 30 year old who's gone even deeper into the insanity and calls you a bigot because his whole life he's been thought that these things are normal. This is why it's imperative to be 100% in tune with what your children consume both from the media and in school.
