So seriously, do you think is DeSantis running for president for real?
He's been clearly running for a while now, he just hasn't formally declared yet. His PAC has $80 million in donations already.
I genuinely think the Democrats are relying on a idea where DeSantis wins the primary and Trump as a sore loser runs third party.
As big of an asshole as Trump is, he won't do this, because if he does, he will go to jail. The only reason Trump is not in jail now is because the Right protects him. If Trump backstabbed the Right to split the vote and help the Democrats win - wouldn't happen regardless since Trump voters are not completely retarded and would not throw the election to Biden out of spite, they'd come home at the last minute - Trump would lose all protection and all the Democrat DAs would feast on his bones.
I say all this because DeSantis is fucking scary. From the oppositions point of view. Despite all the media trying to call him some sort of Floridian Hitler, the man is sensible and can speak two sentences in a row (unlike current POTUS). This makes him an existential threat for progressives.
