I believe there's court precedent that requires that defendants be unshackled in front of a jury unless they've acted up in front of the jury before to avoid concerns about bias. So I don't think that part is on the woketards in Oregon. It's possible that he does have a history in front of the jury and Oregon legislature was retarded enough to go beyond what the courts require and ban it in all circumstances. It's impossible to say without knowing more details. Either way it's clear that courthouse security fucked up things that have nothing to do with shackles. Shackles should never be the only thing preventing escape even when they are used. He shouldn't have been able to just walk out of there.
