You know, back when we had a reasonable expectation that perjury in a political or politicized case would be prosecuted, an affidavit had meaning. Documents coming from a court filing had value.

Oh it's still prosecuted. If an anti-deep-state interviewee tells the FBI in an informal conversation that something 2 years ago happened on a Wednesday when it actually happened on a Friday, well they'll come after you and your family.
