It won’t matter, the simple fact of the matter is Hogwarts is a woke pile of shit. Rushing to defend/ buy a woke pile of shit from people crying it isn’t woke enough won’t make you win because you’re still left with a woke pile of shit. The only winning strategy here is to not play their motte and bailey game of varying degrees of woke, but to amplify how godawful and stupid both sides are.
I watched my niece play it a couple hours this weekend, it’s about as pozzed as any modern Ubisoft game. She did a quest to help some fat old dyke who immediately mentioned she had a wife seconds into the first interaction with her, 1890’s Scotland is chock full of Asians and brown people, you can’t make a White character without mods, most of the reasonable authority figures are women, etc.
In the character creation you can create a male looking character and then call it a witch, likewise you can create a female looking character and call it a wizard
Disappointing yet also not that much as the trans tried to use this game as 'the hill to die on' going so far to harrass streamers for it so hopefully that taught them they're better off not inserting that shit in the game and just focus on good storytelling.
The troon it has is hideous, it has a mans face in women's hair and excessive makeup. It's basically the "It's Ma'am" guy.
Then you just imagine everything good the characters say about him is sarcastic, which is easy with the british accents, and its now a complete ridicule of troons.
Not a HP fan but I can imagine the game being a woke pile of shit AND highly respecting of the source material. It's not a particularly "based" property. So HP fans are already neck deep in it, might as well keep swimming.
