Better to let the DA handle it, hopefully he was not sponsored by Soros.

This is about as good as saying "God will take care of it" in terms of actual results.

Not quite. I don't want to fedpost, but in a hypothetical situation, I'd first look to see if institutions can take care of the matter, and then take action as needed.
