I agree that Make America Normal Again is something that most people want.
Right now in my opinion, DeSantis is the best positioned to beat Trump in the primary so I support him but I would definitely support Elder if he ended up winning the primaries. I just want a good candidate who can win a general election and is capable of sanity and good governing.
It's more than that. Bush and Clinton are mere opposition. Biden is someone he's supposedly thinks stole the election from him and the American people. Biden is someone who takes bribes from other countries, 10% for the big guy. Biden was behind the first "Logan Act?" impeachment hearings against Trump and harassing his friends as supposed foreign agents. Biden blackmails foreign governments to put his favored officials in power. Biden routinely lies about things that never happened. Biden called Trump a racist at the debates, and said the only reason he ran for office is to fight Trump's white supremacist hate. According to Trump's good friend Giuliani, the Biden Crime Family has been one of the most corrupting influences in the US government for decades. I could go on...
But what a good speech am I right fellas?!
It's really weird, like he's not even the same person. The only thing I can imagine is Trump is trying to position himself as the reasonable moderate candidate compared to "right-wing" DeSantis.
I don't get it. You appear to me attempting to make the case that it was simultaneously actual praise, and calling it backhanded. These ideas are not compatible. Something is not "close to praise," either it is, or it isn't. This clearly wasn't.
It's good that you (unlike OP) acknowledge that it wasn't. Because that, as I said, is retarded.
What you've got there is "charitable." This was definitely not that.
There's "damning with faint praise," and there's backhanded compliments and there's condescension, and paternalism, and white lying, and all sorts of ways to technically say nice things, while the real meaning behind the words is critical. The difference is in intent.
Thing is, this "praise" of Trump's toward Biden was in the middle of a bunch of other communication Trump was putting out, that was certainly the furthest thing from kind. In context, there is no way the intent was in any way charitable. This snippet was specifically curated to make it sound this way, though, because philosohomo is a huge faggot who only does one thing.
Public polling is a tool to shape public opinion not measure it.
We know which candidate the Dems want us to nominate in 2024 and it is not DeSantis. Trump is the easiest opponent for the Dems.
Remember how the Dems made ads promoting Doug Mastriano in PA so he would win the GOP nomination for PA gov and be easy to beat? Their candidate Josh Shapiro won easily and utterly crushed Mastriano. The GOP primary voters in PA are the dumbest primary voters in the nation for nominating Mastriano. I pray the national electorate is at least 20 IQ points smarter than the PA GOP electorate.
The Dems will try the same strategy again in the 2024 Presidential primary.
The future of the nation is hanging in the hands of the GOP primary electorate. I pray they are smart enough not to nominate Trump again.
I analyze 2015-20 as the American right making a deal with Trump, where Trump got the needs of his massive ego fulfilled (via attention, coverage, getting to be the big boy in charge) and in exchange we got a redder Supreme Court. (We got some other stuff too that Biden has now nerfed, but SCOTUS is the big one and can’t be quickly undone as soon as a Dem wins a subsequent election). But now, we don’t really need to re-up the deal, because SCOTUS is swung, and fulfilling the needs of Trump’s massive ego is not worth the trouble in exchange for what little he can realistically give us. DeSantis would fight the gender insanity fight, for example, better than Trump, as would most any GOP candidate, so it’s time to move on. Plus, Trump is just getting old, he’ll be older in ‘24 than Biden was in ‘20 when we all knew Joe was too old for the job.
He's slamming Biden quite hard. I think his caption is some sort of - admittedly very weak and lame - troll.
This certainly isn't the Trump many people know and love, but to say he's praising Biden is a huge stretch.
I will say Truth Social is cringe as fuck, and Trump looks pathetic trying to reenact his Twitter glory days there. It's an incredibly weak look when, as ex-president, you're on some tiny little site with no engagement, and retweeting nobodies who say nice things about you.
Also, the idea that Trump learned anything about who he surrounds himself with and takes advice from seem...greatly exaggerated.
For those who don't have access because his stupid site is STILL region locked:
Look, he worked hard tonight, it’s not a natural thing for him, it never was, and never will be, but you’ve got to give him credit for trying. I disagree with him on most of his policies, but he put into words what he felt, and he ended up the evening far stronger than he began. Give him credit for that. Many things weren’t mentioned that should have been, but that’s for another time. I’ve done a little clip, perhaps you’d like to watch it. Good night everybody, and God Bless America!
The difference between a senile clown and a propped up threat.
I don't think Trump believes he has to beat Biden. It's DeSantis (NOW-FL), then fraud. That's all that will stop him. Biden is just someone who should be in a home being used to get a woman power without having a woman obviously running things.
I'm not clicking on his crappy website. He's crossed over into ballistic-ego-narcissism and left the launch pad.
He's going to make everything uglier from now on and take as many of us with him as he can on his ugly trip.
My guy Larry Elder will be announcing and imma send him 10 bucks when he does. Let's be done with these political dynasties and move on.
MANA! Make America Normal Again.

Has Elder supported draconian crackdowns on "anti-Semitism" that violate every (falsely) stated principle of the GOP in the same way DeSantis has?
Fucking why even run in 2024 if your campaign is praising the opposite party while attacking the young stars of your own party?
Trump needs to retire. He is a net negative for the right.
What in God's Green Earth does your post title have to do with the post in the link? There's literally no relationship there whatsoever.
Then you reply first to your own post.
What even is this Op-Ed bullshit. You're the worst.

Painting it as actual praise is retarded.
When someone says "Aw, that's so good...for you," I hate to break it to you but they're not actually being nice.

This is moot, at this point, DeSantis is the DeFacto choice.
