I appreciate this. But every time I see articles like this it makes me wonder what kind of black budget technology is out there. When I was in the Air Force I knew some people who worked in black projects and it just makes me wonder.
I know there is a plane that moves using electromagnetic waves instead of a jet engine. It would change the world, but the navy patented it and proved they had a working copy to the judge.
NASA has been a cover for a lot of stuff like this, so I hope some of it comes out for future use. Trigonometry used to be protected infor action by the French military.
Oh I could tell you some stories. But it’s second hand from retired Air Force officers I knew when I was in. Delves into black budget/ufo territory. I love the sound of an electro magnetic plane.

I give it another 20 years for an actual colony and the scout colonies within a decade. I really hope we get some of that black tech suddenly introduced to move us forward.
Thanks for your service. I do know black projects go back to the 50s. Like I remember a guy who worked for Lockheed in the 50s talking about how he was on projects experimenting with anti gravity possibilities and all of a sudden that went into the black project world. But yea military tech isn’t all that advanced. Specialization is the key.

I'm wondering how many of these ideas will end up with a SpaceX logo on them, nothing against Elon he's doing the smart thing of letting the government take risks then using their work.
I'm just a bit salty that after so many decades, no moon base!
