The implosion of Channel Awesome was a real redpill for me. I had the naive idea that most of the content creators on that site were decent, regular nerds who had really fun jobs. It was only when the whole thing collapsed into infighting and complete childishness that I realized that it was a pack of dysfunctional, narcissistic, man/womanchildren who couldn't run their own lives, let alone a business.

That whole debacle was a shock to me. I really liked them when I was a teenager.
I still appreciate how I learned about so many classic movies, TV shows, etc. through them, but maybe things played out the way they did for the best.
I hope newer, better pop culture critics like Nerdrotic and Ryan Kinel can pick up from where CA left off and learn from their mistakes.
True, but the meltdowns were (and still are) good popcorn material. Especially Spoony IMO.
